BELOW ARE TWO METHODS TO USE TO ASSEMBLE YOUR ANIMATED GIF.
Very good introduction.
Excellent Tutorial.

Your Assignment is to create a stop motion video of between 10 seconds minimum, 15 seconds maximum. Understanding frame rates and deciding how “cinematic” you want to make it will determine how many frames you shoot.
I would approach it this way:
CONCEPT IT OUT:
- What are you going to do?
- What is the IDEA you want to project?
- How can you do this with stop motion?
- What tools will you need for execution?
- Sketch your ideas and answer the questions that sketching will reveal.
Lighting, Placement of props. Physical access to the motion. Is it better to start at the end and work backwards?
TEST YOUR IDEAS AS SIMPLY AS POSSIBLE
- Shoot the sequence main images. Do a run-through with less than 10 slides.
- Note obstacles.
- Create the set.
- Execute.
This is a very good way to get started with Stop Motion.
