ASSIGNMENT: HOT, HOT, HOT… BOOM
THE BRIEF:
This is a restaurant menu cover and the client wants it to be “HOT HOT HOT” – also the tagline of his restaurant. The food is Tex-Mex and Thai combined in exciting new dishes that are heavy on spice, and a bit hot. This is a single mom and pop restaurant, but one of the higher end restaurants in your town. It has multiple dining rooms and a liquor license. (Mmm… Corona).
Usage is one image on the cover of the menu. It may or may not be used for an ad in the local magazine, but they are not sure they want to do that yet.
The menu is a portrait configuration and in full color.
You have the option to shoot food, product, or people – but the idea is that you make the shot you want.

If you are wondering about how other photographers have shot spicy food… well… here you go.
This is a portfolio shot… make it count. Please sketch ideas, plan the shoot, and execute with precision.
Please be prepared to tell me how much you would have billed for this shot.
