This will be a nice, creative, personal assignment for you.

Assignment Due February 16, 2017

Not  a lot of parameters, only that the three images work well together. I want them to compliment each other, and keep the viewer looking at them to find something fun. They can be of any subject close to YOUR heart and what you love to shoot. I personally love trilogies and have two on my walls. Something about the power of threes. And note how important placement is. The middle image MUST be in the middle, but the two outside images carry much more weight as far as placement.

The one below works so much better than the one above because the image on the right has Jaz looking into the trilogy instead of away from it. Also important to remember when designing your portfolio.

Think through how you want to present your trilogy. I want you to plan it out. What will you do with the three panels? Will they be connected images showing a panoramic view, but broken into panels that are connected in some way? Will they be disconnected from each other by the framing, but yet connected by subject matter? Will they be three different views of the same subject, showing the viewer something interesting on each view?

Here is a trilogy of images that are an abstract.

— Jeffrey Ventrella

Black and white or color… it is your choice. I would like to have them all on one canvas, but if you need to upload them separately I am OK with that. So that is your assignment: Shoot a trilogy, then decide how to present it the most effective way.
