Joni Sternbach: Surfland.

Surfland represents her ongoing fascination with the surfers and the surf culture – especially the esoteric and unique aspects of the surfers themselves. Sternbach shoots with an 8×10 camera and uses the TinType processing to make her images.
These are all photographs of strangers she meets on the beach.
