This class is open to you as well as members of P52. Please review it when you have begun to put your book together and look for work. We will refer to it many times in the class, so becoming familiar with what is there is important.

You are early bird registrations so you will be receiving some perks.

I need your physical address to send your book and print to you. More goodies coming as we go through the class.

There will be lots more coming to this page for the rest of May and June, so keep checking back.

GEAR AND GEAR LIST: There is a page of gear where you can get what you need from Amazon. It is on the right side of this page.

YOU NEED:
A boom – C-Stand is best, but a good tripod stand and boom will work.
Stands – at least three.
Tripod for holding your camera.
Lighting: I recommend strobes, but continuous will work for most shoots.
Scrims (2): you can make them yourselves. There are instructions here.
Photo Clamps, Gaffer’s tape, A-Clamps
Fome Core and white bounce cards 24×48 would be a good start. You will need a few of them.
RECOMMENDED:
Light Meter
A way to shoot tethered into your laptop or computer.

PROJECT 52 LIGHTING CLASS

STARTING JUNE 9, 2021
LIGHTING BASICS: COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

This is an extracurricular class to introduce you to lighting, the tools, how to measure it, exposure, and the use of studio ighting. There will be four classes, with four live webinars to answer questions.

Please log in, watch the video(s), download the worksheets, and familiarize yourself with the terms and tools of the trade.

Our first live meeting will be on June 9, 2021. We will be using our correct time slots:

Wednesday Morning, 8 AM Pacific.
Wednesday Afternoon, 5 PM Pacific.
There is a makeup class we call “Office Hours” Saturday morning at 6 AM Pacific for missed meetings. You may choose either class to attend (some attend both, although we will only review your work in the first of the sessions you attend).
